so we're spend good times and bad...

i MISS YLTC. argh... miss camp syndrom... not just YL09' but YL08' too. and i bet this was what the snrs did when they organised YL08' for us- compare & reflect & reminisce. This was what most of us did i suppose. COMPARE the standard, REFLECT on the purpose of what we did and how it has brought us all the way to where we are now & REMINISCE the times we spent tgther in YLTC as trainees in the dorms in our groups. the lamest and the toughest that we all went through. and yupps.


going through the dorm checks made me miss them.... i guess it wasn't so much of what happened then and there... grabbing bags and stuff cos at the end of the day we got our stuff that we needed to wear. its the fact that we had to wear what we had, whether it was someone's shirt, shorts or even some even more personal stuff... it was gross, but no doubt we grew from it... from selfish individuals grabbing OUR OWN bags from the other end of the circle to rummaging rubbish for OUR clothes, OUR toiletries to people who didn't mind what we were wearing or whose we were wearing... (k. maybe not. i rmbr wearing linette's pants =) and also the second dorm check, where we took super loaddds of time to clean... it did not seem to have a point then, it may seem(to some at least) we're just trying to emphasize the importance of cleaniness... but is it? if it was cleaniness that really mattered we could all have bathed. it certainly was not. it was the process, the importance of thinking and being willing to work together.


and i can say that i'm really proud of shawnees, one man short, no doubt but they still did it together... ah... and it makes me think of pawnees again. one man short since day one. somemore night orienteering was on the first night, which made things quite screwed... haiz...



all of us from 34th came together with a roar...

the dragon roll call that campfire night under the stars... great job 34th! considering we never had a full dragon roll call prac beforehand. i was proud to be there part of the batch shouting out my number. and everyone was super loud. we were louder than we ever heard ourselves before, proud to be part of the 34th batch, proud to show the seniors our pride. and i would say fortunately the snrs were nice. yuppps. they weren't as harsh as they used to be i should say... but there wasn't much to pick on anyways... yuppps. not counting the fact that i nearly freaked out when pawnees had to recite the pledge individually...

we will not pon any activity,
but we will PAWN YLTC.

clearing of counts on the last day... well. another reflection session. everyone just watching and reminiscing again as usual... and i remember how we repeated and repeated again and again after about 100 pumps... while the jnrs repeated only once or twice and they kept repeating their numbers... i wonder why...


we pledge to stand by one and all...
never letting anyone fall...

and i've got to say that the 69 pumps we did for the jnrs really touched me! yuppps. can't believe that we actually did it! after so long, we showed what it meant to support each other and persevere!


anyways... i really enjoyed these past 5 days and i don't care whether or not i'm gonna fail math and chem because of this. i'll definitely miss all the little bits and pieces we've weaved together be it last YL 08' or YL 09'... the trip to NTUC pushing back a cart load of rations... rock climbing which we spent sleeping and reading a page or two worth of stuff...packing juniors stuff, stoning, stressing and freaking out for everything... and not forgetting landex where i missed land kayaking... sleeping at the pavillion(probably never get to ever again)... the huddling in circles part reflecting and crying... all this and more i'll miss. I LOVE WHOA! <3
